Baked Parmesan Pork Chops
These savory Parmesan Oven Baked Pork Chops are a great dinner, that pairs well with various side dishes. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, filled with flavor.

This recipe for Baked Parmesan Pork Chops is from a cookbook my Grandma gave me for Christmas last year. All the recipes are in her handwriting. What a sweet gift that took her a lot of time and it has all kinds of recipes she has made over the years. It is a priceless gift to me. She called this recipe Pork Chop Special, but I changed the title of my blog so it would be easier to search for online.
My favorite way to make pork chops is grilling them but living in a cold climate makes grilling more of a challenge, not to mention rainy days. These are a fun way to enjoy pork chops when you can’t get outside and fire up the grill. The crackers make the outside crispy and add a nice flaky, salty layer to lock in the juices.
It goes great with different side dishes – What I love about this recipe is that it pairs well with a wide variety of side dishes. If you want a nice balanced meal making a side of vegetables and a carb is a great way to make a well-rounded meal. You could make them with mashed potatoes and gravy if you want to be fancy. Steamed green beans or roasted veggies would make some other great choices. If you are in a hurry pop open a can of carrots and add some butter and a little brown sugar for an old-fashioned side dish. Dinner rolls, Rice-a-Roni, or perhaps a salad would all work well with this dish.
Throw them in the oven – I also like the fact that they bake in the oven. Preparing them can be kind of messy but I can throw them in the oven once they are prepared and I don’t have to stand over a stovetop and watch them.
Simple ingredients – If I have thawed pork chops on hand I love that I usually have all the other ingredients in my pantry to make this dish.

Below is a list of the ingredients and instructions on how to make this dish. Have fun with it and make it your own. Change up the ingredients if you feel adventurous. Swap out the crackers for bread crumbs. Play around with the spices and perfect it to your taste.
Ingredints:
8 boneless porkchops 1 inch thick
2 c crushed soda crackers
1/2 c parmasan cheese
1/4 th c milk
2 eggs beaten
3 tb melted butter
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp oregano
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish with butter.
In a small bowl beat the eggs and milk with a fork or whisk until combined.
Mix the crushed soda crackers, salt, pepper, and oregano in a separate bowl.
Coat the pork chops one at a time in the egg/milk mixture turning to cover both sides and again in the soda cracker mix to coat both sides.
Place in the baking dish and bake for 30 minutes. Then, flip them over and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
When done the pork chops should have an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Store the leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
I recommend that you avoid reheating these in a microwave as it will result in them becoming soggy. Instead, reheat the leftover pork chops on a cookie sheet right in the oven to keep the crispness.
To make cleanup easier, line your baking dish with parchment paper.
