Vanilla Wafer Graham Cracker Pie Crust

This pre-made pie crust is easy to make and perfect for no-bake pies. Made by using both vanilla wafers and graham crackers combined.

I made this for my No Bake Peanut Butter Pie and it was easy to make. Why mix vanilla wafers and graham crackers you may ask? Well, I needed a pie crust and had both on hand but not a full box of either so instead of making the run to the local grocery store why not mix the two? It worked out well and I loved the flavor blend of both together. So I thought I would share how I made it. This fit perfectly in my 9 and 1/2-inch fluted, glass pie pan. It has tall edges and was enough to pack to the top. I simply made it and let it cool before adding in my no-bake filling.

To make the pie crust you will need :
1 and 1/2 c crushed vanilla wafers
1/2 c crushed graham crackers
1/5 c melted butter
1/3 rd c granulated sugar
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Melt your butter in the microwave.
In a food processor, pulse the vanilla wafers and graham crackers until they turn into a sand-like texture. I crushed them separatley. 1/2 c of graham crackers crumbs is about half of one sleeve of graham crackers. The vanilla wafers took a little over to cups of whole crackers to get 1 and 1/2 c worth of crushed wafers.
Add them to a mixing bowl and stir in the granulated sugar and melted butter. It will start resembling a damp sand texture.
Pour this into a non-greased 9 and 1/2 -inch pin pan. Using a mixing cup with a smooth bottom on it gently work and pat down the crust down on the bottom and around the edges. Be careful not to overpack. You want it to be firm but if you pack it too tight it will be hard to cut later.
Bake in your preheated oven for 10 minutes, remove, and let it completely cool before adding in any cold no-bake pie filling. This paired well with my No Bake Peanut Butter Pie with Cool Whip.
I placed the pie crust in the refrigerator for 1 hour to make sure it was fully cooled down.
