No Bake Peanut Butter Pie with Cool Whip
This no-bake pie is easy to make and tastes so divine. This is made with peanut butter, cream cheese, and cool whip in a pre-made pie crust.

I had some leftover Cool Whip after Christmas this year and didn’t want it to go to waste so I decided to try this new recipe and let me say it did not disappoint. My husband loves it to say the least. I don’t think I have ever heard him carry on so about any dessert I have previously made, and it was gone before a week. It was so easy to make and throw in the freezer and only takes five ingredients plus a pie shell. I made my own pie crust so I didn’t have to run to town. Even though I only live 2 miles from Walmart I like to try and make things work without running for every little thing I don’t have.

Ingredients:
1 c powdered sugar
8 oz cream cheese at room temperature
8 oz cool whip
1/2 c creamy peanut butter
1 pre-made vanilla wafer or graham cracker pie shell

With a hand-held mixer beat the cream cheese until it’s smooth and fluffy.
Beat in the creamy peanut butter and powdered sugar.
Fold in the Cool Whip and spread into the pre-made crust.
Cover and place in the freezer for 2 hours or overnight.
Keep in the freezer in an airtight container.

Notes:
You can garnish with crushed peanuts if you would like some crunch. My kids won’t eat chunky peanut butter so I left them off.
You can also drizzle on some chocolate syrup or shaved chocolate. It was so rich and sweet the way it was I didn’t find it necessary.
If you want to make the cutting process easier dip your knife in hot water in between each slice. This will also help with cleaner-looking cuts.
Buying a pre-made pie crust is easy but it’s really not that difficult to make one yourself if you have the stuff on hand. I made mine using a mixture of graham crackers and vanilla wafers. Chocolate graham crackers or cinnamon graham crackers would work well with this too. I made my shell a few hours before I mixed my pie so it had time to cool down and even placed it in the refrigerator for one hour to make sure it was completely cool and wouldn’t melt the center.
